Stimulus Payment Schedule for Tax Returns Received and Processed by April 15
Economic stimulus payments will be issued according to the last two-digits of the main filer's Social Security number. People who use direct deposit also will be among the first to receive the payments starting May 2, 2008. Paper checks will be put in the mail starting May 16, 2008.

Bush may want you to spend your stimulus check, but the retailers want you to exchange it for a 10% bonus. I work for a company that manages gift cards, and we blogged about the stimulus on savvywallet.com. Don't fall for it. Consider this: Last year $100B was spent on gift cards, and $8B was lost and unredeemed. Do the math.
